Founders
Founders Tracy Edwards and Megan Martelon, parents at Montclair Elementary School for Academics and Enrichment, started the Food for Kids Backpack Program in the Spring of 2009 after realizing that some Montclair students on free and reduced lunch were hungry on the weekends or after school. After successfully starting a program at Montclair they were joined by some additional valuable members and partners that enabled them to expand the program to Lowry, Park Hill and Swansea Elementary Schools.
Tracey EdwardsTracy Edwards is a parent of third and fourth grade students at Montclair. While she is not spending hours volunteering for the Food for Kids Backpack Program, helping coach the Girls on the Run program and a member of the School Administrative Committee at Montclair, she is working full-time as a Director for MPEG LA, LLC, a patent licensing administrator for consumer electronics patents.
